Wild Salamander Creative Arts Center is a family owned and operated business. It is a local community based gathering place for creative arts education. Our goal is to encourage rich creative experiences through training, exploration, and experiences. We provide space, opportunity, and inspiration for explorations in a variety of contemporary and traditional art forms. We hope to create a comfortable environment where community members can learn and develop skills and abilities with the support of local artists.
KC’s love of the arts and joy for teaching have brought her through the trenches of the professional theater, craziness of the classroom, and the unpredictable world of parenthood to the opening of Wild Salamander. Education includes BFA in Theater Management and Design from Ohio University. She has run production staffs, union crews, and managed tours in Chicago, Cleveland, The Berkshires, The Cape, and NH. Earning a Masters in Education from Lesley University focusing on Special Education, KC spent eight years teaching and learning in a Kindergarten classroom and four years teaching young teachers curriculum design and assessment. KC is excited to bring arts close to home!
In addition to working to create Wild Salamander, Charlie is currently employed as Senior Designer at Mystic Scenic Studios, in Norwood, MA. He has over 150 professional theater design credits, and his clients have included The National Park Service, New England Sports Network, Boston Museum of Science, and a variety of independent museums. He has lived in Hollis for over 20 years and is excited to be giving back to his community through this creative endeavor.
